The Early Intervention Research Group (EIRG) is looking for families who are interested in participating in a research study for infants with hearing loss! EIRG is a research group at Northwestern University that studies parent-implemented interventions for children with various language delays. They are recruiting children younger than 14 months old, with hearing loss in both ears who wear a hearing device or who are candidates for a hearing device. English must be the primary language spoken in the home and one parent with typical hearing levels must be willing to participate. All families will receive language assessments, reports about their child’s development, language strategies to use with their child, and compensation for their time.
Half of the families participating will also receive additional language therapy in their home.
